Abstract
The Faculty of Dentistry of the University of El Salvador, through its Research Center and the Graduate School, had the pleasure of celebrating on November 25, 26 and 27, 2020, the II International Congress and Contest of Research and Postgraduate (virtual modality), developed with the purpose of opening a space for the dissemination of national and international scientific production, promoting the production of knowledge and establishing international cooperation networks for research in dental sciences, complying with one of the inescapable principles of the University of El Salvador to govern research in the country.
The congress included keynote lectures with an emphasis on current methodologies and lines of research in Dentistry, given by international speakers with recognized scientific backgrounds.
This unprecedented event in research in dental sciences in the country, had the participation of 34 works presented orally by researchers from different Latin American countries, participating in the undergraduate, graduate and free categories; including the thematic areas Epidemiology, Clinical Research and Clinical Cases. Said works were evaluated by a select jury made up of 17 academic researchers from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (Mexico), Rey Juan Carlos University (Spain), Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí (Mexico), Autonomous University of Nuevo León (Mexico). ), University of Granada (Spain), Federal University of Paraná (Brazil), Austral University of Chile (Chile), University of Talca (Chile), University of Salamanca (Spain) and Benjamin Bloom National Hospital (El Salvador).
The Scientific Organizing Committee of the event made the selection, correction and compilation of the summaries of the works that are presented in these reports.
