Abstract

World Environment Day was established by the United Nations Organization in its resolution on December 15, 1977, therefore, every June 5 is commemorated in many countries around the world. In relation to this important commemoration, the Authorities of the University of El Salvador, through the Secretariat of Scientific Research of the University of El Salvador (SIC-UES) and the Executive Council of Research (CEI), with the support of the Secretariat of Social Projection, Secretariat of Graduate Studies, Secretariat of National and International Relations, UES Environmental Unit and national and international organizations, will develop the I INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION AND ITS IMPACT ON INTEGRAL MANAGEMENT OF DISASTER RISK AND LIVELIHOODS IN THE FACE OF CLIMATE CHANGE. This Congress is part of the environmental policy of the University of El Salvador, which has a strong commitment to ensure that environmental education can be part of the academic context of higher education in order to contribute to generate greater awareness and a more resilient environment, in addition to the commitment made with the Iberoamerican Network of Environment (REIMA. A. C.), based on the letter of understanding, which places the University of El Salvador as a focal point to REIMA.
