Abstract

In February 2017, the vermilion flycatcher (Pyrocephalus rubinus) was registered for the first time in El Salvador in the El Jocotal lagoon, department of San Miguel, southeast region. The present note presents new documentation for the localization of the species, in two areas of the Barra de Santiago Complex, in the department of Ahuachapán in the southwestern region of the country. With this contribution, the observation sites of the species for the country are expanded.
